13TH INTERNATIONAL BIBLICAL CONFERENCE ‘The Bible in the Writings of the Church Fathers’

The main themes of the conference will be: the Bible in the translations made by the Church Fathers, patristic interpretation of the Bible, and the Bible’s use in Christian literature of antiquity (polemical writings, poetry, etc.).

13TH INTERNATIONAL BIBLICAL CONFERENCE

‘The Bible in the Writings of the Church Fathers’

 

The conference will be held on 21–22 May 2026 at the University of Wrocław’s off-campus Research Centres in Ostrów Wielkopolski (Forum Synagoga, former synagogue, ul. Raszkowska 21, 21 May) and in Odolanów (Galeria-Forum, former Protestant church, plac Kościuszki 4a, 22 May).

We invite all interested researchers to participate in the conference: patristic scholars, biblical scholars, philologists, historians, and other researchers who are interested in topics related to the Bible, its exegesis, and reception.

 

Abstracts (up to 150 words) in one of the conference languages (English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Russian) or in Polish should be sent by 30 April 2026 to: pracownia.biblijna@uwr.edu.pl. The list of speakers will be announced by 4 May 2026 at the latest, and all candidates will be notified by email. The conference fee is PLN 390 (EUR 95).

We plan to publish in ‘Vox Patrum’ in 2027.
